Palestine Polytechnic University and Pitman International Training Institute sign a joint cooperation agreement

The Palestinian national center of occupational safety, health and environmental protection (COSHEP) at Palestine polytechnic university (PPU) signed a cooperation agreement with pitman training institute, where the two parties are looking to cooperate in areas of mutual interest in conducting certified occupational safety, health and environmental protection training.
Vice president of community affairs, Dr. Islam Hassouneh, welcomed the guests and pointed out the role of PPU in providing quality services to the Palestinian community through the university's community affairs centers, including COSHEP.
For his part, Mr. Nari Al-Barghouti the chairperson of the board of directors of pitman institute in Palestine emphasized the professionalism of the graduates of PPU and it distinguished academic programs at the national level. He explained that the courses and programs of the pitman center are implemented by several centers in the United Kingdom and countries of the world, and the English and Arabic languages ​​ used in providing the courses, in addition to the awarding of certificates by the main Pitman center in Britain.
After that, the agreement signed by the director of COSHEP, Mr. Malik Salhab, and Mr. Nasri with the attendance of Pitman training director Mrs. Tahani Sbeihat, and Mr. Ayman Jamous, business development officer.
The main aim of this agreement is to promote in the Palestinian market internationally accredited and recognized OSHE courses, awards and diplomas that prepared by specialized bodies such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the National Examination Board In Occupational Safety And Health (NEBOSH) and the Institute Of Environmental Management And Assessment (IEMA). The list of courses will include, international general certificate in occupational safety and health (IGC), fire safety, environmental management, food safety, working safely, safety in construction and other specialized courses that simulate the local and global market demand.
It’s expected that this agreement will have the greatest impact on raising the safety culture in Palestine and graduating participants who are able to precisely identify and control workplace risks, in order to mitigate occupational injuries and diseases that plague the Palestinian workforce.
